Notice of 2020 AGM and Election of Trustees

NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE DAR-E-MEHR ZOROASTRIAN TEMPLE IN POMONA, NEW YORK

Notice is hereby posted that the Annual General Meeting of the Dar-e-Mehr Zoroastrian Temple will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at 13:30 p.m. at the Arbab Rustam Guiv Dar-e-Mehr located at 106 Pomona Road, Suffern, NY to conduct the following business:

1. Presentation of the Annual Report.
2. Approval of the Treasurer’s Report.
3. Election of Trustees.
4. Any other Business.

ELECTION OF TRUSTEES:

The election for the trustees will be conducted independently by the election committee appointed for the purpose.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS:

In the interest of time, congregation members, who may want to bring up any other pertinent business that concerns the congregation of the Dar-e-Mehr’s well-being, are requested to submit this in writing to the Board of Trustees no later than March 27, 2020. This would be conducted after the election procedure for New Trustees has been completed.

NOTICE FOR THE NOMINATION OF THE ELECTION OF TRUSTEES FOR THE DAR-E-MEHR ZOROASTRIAN TEMPLE IN POMONA, NEW YORK

Notice is hereby given to the congregation that Voting for the Election of Trustees for the Dar-e-Mehr Zoroastrian Temple will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at the Arbab Rustam Guiv Dar-e-Mehr located at 106 Pomona Road, NY. The election will take place following the proceedings of the Annual General Meeting being held at 13:30 p.m. on the same day.

The term of office of two Trustees, Mrs. Marzie Jafari and Mr. Fali D. Shroff expires this year.

Mrs. Marzie Jafari has completed two consecutive terms as an elected Trustees and is NOT eligible to run for re-election.   Mr. Fali D. Shroff has completed One Term as an elected Trustee and is eligible to stand for re-election for the 2^nd term of Three Years.

The election procedure being carried out will elect 2 Trustees for a three–year term from a list of Nominated Candidates.

Candidates who wish to run in the election are requested to complete the attached Nomination Form and include a Brief Biography with it.

The nomination form and biography must be received by the Election Committee at the address given below no later than Friday March 27, 2020.
